Biography :
Dr.Hasibur Rahman is a Consultant of Dermatology & Venereology in Apollo Hospital Dhaka. He is also working as the Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology & Venereology of Community Based Medical College, Bangladesh.
Previously he was also working as Consultant at Cosmetic Surgery Centre, banker Plaza , Dhanmondi, Dhaka as well as Popular Diagnostic Centre, Dhanmondi, Dhaka
Academic Background:
Dr. Hasibur Rahman obtained his Medical degree MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College, Bangladesh in 1997. He was trained and took advanced courses in Dermatology and Venereology from Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dhaka and obtained FCPS degree to become qualified Dermatologist from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in January 2006.
He is a member of EADV (European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology), ISD (International society of Dermatology) USA and South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine. He was also awarded as Visiting Fellow Dermatologist in the center of Excellence and visited Dermatology & Allergology Institute Munich, Germany. He achieved the MRCPS (Member of Royal college of Physicians & Surgeons) Glasgow, FACP (USA) by the American College of Physicians, International Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology, FRCP (Edin) from the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh,UK.
Work Experience:
He had been involved in teaching of under graduate and post graduate Medical students, research works, patients management and Head of the Department of Dermatology & VD in Community Based Medical College Bangladesh, Mymensingh since 2006. He has published more than 60 research articles in national & international journals. He is working as Chief Editor of Community Based Medical Journal and reviewer of Mymensingh Medical Journal. He has presented many seminars, symposium, workshops in home and abroad.

He got training on the therapeutic application of Laser in Dermatology & Dermatosurgery, Cosmetology, Sexual Medicine from Delhi, Jaipur,Ahmedabad,Bangalore,Lahore,Dubai,Nepal,Srilanka,Turkey,Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore,China,Korea,Japan,France , Italy and Slovakia.
He is life member and selected faulty member of Dermatology of Bangladesh College of Physicians and life member of Bangladesh Dermatological Society (BDS). He has a keen interest for newer modern technology to update himself in the field of Dermatology. He is doing special works on PRP therapy and Dermaroller therapy in hair loss treatment in Bangladesh.
Personal Information:
Prof.Dr.Hasibur Rahman is the only issue of his parents. His father Prof.Dr.M.Mufizur Raman Ph.D (Germany) was Professor & Head of the Department of Microbiology & Hygiene of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensigh and his mother Mrs. Hasina Rahman B.A, B.Ed is a housewife.
Prof. Rahman is blessed father of one Daughter (Spriha- Student-Dhaka Medical College) and one Son (Sparsha- Class Six). His wife is Dr. Nazma Parvin Ansari MBBS,DCP,MD(Pathology) working as Associate Professor of Pathology in Community Based Medical College,Bangladesh.
